 Are you a cyclist who suffers from low back pain? You may want to check out your Iliopsoas or hip flexors. The multiple roles this muscle plays during cycling can predispose it to tightness and overuse injury. Dysfunction in the Iliopsaos can cause compression of the lumbar spine which can result in low back or hip pain.

A preventative program of core stability focusing on hip flexor stretching, massage, and strengthening can help prevent.
